Tari Gary is a Senior Extension Administrator in the Department of Food Science, where she plays a key role in advancing food safety education across Indiana. She supports statewide initiatives including Safe Produce IN, ServSafe, and home-based vendor education by providing food safety programming, technical assistance, resource creation, and administrative leadership. Tari works closely with Extension educators, industry partners, and regulatory stakeholders to translate food safety regulations and best practices into clear, practical guidance for diverse audiences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science from Purdue University and has prior industry experience as a food safety manager. Through her work, Tari helps strengthen food safety knowledge and compliance among food businesses, producers, and home-based vendors, supporting Purdue Extension’s mission to protect public health through research-based education.
